Elementary School Teacher

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment organization, is currently seeking a Elementary School Teacher starting in Fall 2026 at a Montessori school in Rochester, MN. Responsibilities: Deliver Montessori lessons in a mixed-age classroom (ages 6–9) alongside an experienced assistant teacher. Knowledge of and experience in hands-on and integrated learning, as well as early childhood development and literacy skills; be highly motivated, hard-working, collaborative, enthusiastic about working with young children, energetic and flexible; demonstrate a desire to learn; and show initiative. Have a strong pedagogical background and be invested in collaborating with colleagues and working closely with early elementary-aged students. In addition to having the required professional and educational background, we seek an enthusiastic, energetic candidate. Build a joyful and nurturing classroom community that sparks intellectual curiosity and growth for all students, and demonstrates clear and affirming classroom management. Supervise children in the classroom, during recesses and dismissal, and on field trips. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related degree required. Master's degree preferred. Previous experience in a Montessori classroom preferred. At least 2 years of previous K-12 teaching experience U.S. Work Authorization required. Additional Desired Qualities: Montessori certification (AMS, AMI, or other) preferred or willingness to become certified.
