We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.Job SummaryUnder the direction of a staff pharmacist and/or pharmacy leadership, the Registered Pharmacy Technician performs a broad range of technical and operational duties that support safe, timely, and efficient medication distribution and pharmacy services in accordance with established policies, procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities may include preparing, packaging, labeling, and distributing unit-dose and stock medications; assisting with outpatient prescription processing; staging and delivering medications and supplies to patient care areas; maintaining medication inventory through restocking, rotation, and monitoring of storage conditions; and supporting the accurate completion of required documentation and records. The technician utilizes area-specific technology and equipment—including automation, robotics, dispensing systems, and pharmacy information systems—to execute workflows, troubleshoot routine issues, and maintain medication integrity and security, including proper handling of controlled substances per policy. The technician demonstrates professionalism in all interactions and communicates clearly with patients and caregivers, as appropriate, to obtain needed information and/or triage routine inquiries to the pharmacist.
