Position Description Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Port Deposit, Maryland — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about. Location Port Deposit, Maryland (Elkton, 21921). Pay Structure Hourly Pay $21.50 per hour Overtime Pay $32.25 per hour Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working third shift Schedule: Third Shift Sunday-Tuesday 6:00 pm-6:00 am, every other Wednesday 6:00 pm-6:00 am Equipment & Products Products Being Handled: Retail Items Equipment: Cherry Pickers, Order Pickers, Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, etc. Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract. Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks. Manage day-to-day paperwork: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc. Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour of production. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). One or more years of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred). Valid Forklift Operator's License. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent team‑player attitude in a diverse environment. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels. Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a strong attendance record. Works independently with minimal supervision. Initiative and high level of accuracy, even under pressure. Physical capability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Safety‑first mindset. Flexible schedule, various shifts. Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
