We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team and take a lead role in the design and execution of complex industrial and petrochemical facility projects. In this capacity, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of piping systems, performing critical stress analysis, and guiding project design from conception through to construction support. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take ownership of key project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead on the mechanical design of piping systems, managing project design aspects and coordinating with designers and other engineering disciplines.
- Perform advanced piping stress analysis calculations, with a specific focus on systems connected to large rotating equipment, using Caesar II.
- Develop comprehensive mechanical design packages for compressor stations and oil/gas production facilities.
- Lead the development of equipment specifications and support purchasing activities to ensure project needs are met.
- Provide on-site and off-site construction support, resolving design-related issues and ensuring project integrity during the build phase.
- Work closely with mechanical designers, project managers, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution and integration.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive, proven experience in pipe stress analysis and mechanical piping design within industrial, petrochemical, or similar facilities.
- Software Proficiency:
- Caesar II (for pipe stress analysis)
- Navisworks (for 3D model review and coordination)
- Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook (for documentation and communication)
- In-depth knowledge of piping design principles, codes (ASME B31.3, etc.), and industry standards.
- Demonstrated experience in leading project design and working effectively with design teams and other stakeholders.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Qualifications
- A PE license is highly desirable.
- Experience with Pipe Flow software or similar fluid hydraulic analysis tools is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
