Job Title

Registered Nurse – CVOR / General OR

Location

Charleston, SC | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (Monday–Friday) | On-call required: 1 weekend of call per 4 weeks; holiday call may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate complex cardiac cases including CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, valve procedures, ascending/descending aortic cases, and heart and lung transplants
• Circulate thoracic and vascular cases as assigned
• Scrub General OR cases including Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic/Biliary MIS (Da Vinci robotic), Plastics, Endocrine, and Bariatric procedures
• Participate in on-call coverage including weekend and holiday call rotations as required
• Wear a radiation badge at all times during applicable procedures (radiation badge provided by agency)
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR/General OR experience required; first-time CVOR travelers considered only with 5+ years of experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state compact RN license must be in hand at time of contract start
• BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of candidate submission; approvals are based on departmental needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing and circulating in a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgery platforms, including Da Vinci
• Prior experience with heart and lung transplant cases
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
