Job Title Station Leader (Player-Coach) Pay Up to $75,000.00 per year + Monthly Bonus Opportunities Location Tampa (Onsite) | Field-Based | 24/7 Operation Job Summary The Station Leader is responsible for directing and guiding all personnel involved in delivery Airline Ground Transportation Services at the station. The role focuses on fostering a team of fully accountable professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional service that exceeds client expectations, with success measured by achieving company goals and objectives while striving to be the most cost‑effective and professional provider of airline ground transportation services. What You’ll Do Lead & Inspire: Motivate and manage a team of 45-50 drivers, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely operations. Operational Excellence: Ensure all routes run smoothly and on schedule. Strategic Planning: Oversee scheduling, KPI management, budget planning, and talent development. Customer Relations: Elevate service levels to exceed client expectations, turning airline crews into raving fans. Safety First: Commit to safety, ensuring compliance and timely issue resolution. Team Building: Develop and maintain a reliable team of drivers dedicated to excellence. What We’re Looking For A visionary leader who can inspire and drive a team to success. Experienced professional: Minimum 2+ years of management experience (preferably in airline/airport or transportation) and 3+ years in the transportation industry. Safety champion: Demonstrated experience in safety management and fostering a safety-first culture. Coach & mentor: Preference for experience in training and coaching. Licensed & ready: Valid driver’s license required; may need special city/airport permits. Resilient personality: Able to pivot and resolve difficult situations. Responsibilities Manages operational activities and personnel assigned to transportation services dispatched from the station. Prioritizes and ensures transit route and service commitments are met. Supervises, evaluates, and oversees recruiting and training of station staff. Investigates, documents, and submits reports on station vehicle accidents and necessary maintenance. Assists in preparing and maintaining budgetary financial reports. Conducts on‑site inspections of all vehicle repair and maintenance. Schedules all station drivers and updates schedules based on demand and availability. Attends all scheduled manager meetings. Oversees, completes, and follows up on all disciplinary actions needed at the local station. Works closely with dispatch to avoid and resolve any service issues. Requirements Five (5) years of experience in the transportation industry, including leadership or management responsibilities, preferred. Experience supervising transportation team members in a fast‑paced operational environment preferred. Knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation regulations and compliance requirements. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with company standards and insurance requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain any permits, badges, or authorizations required by airport authorities or regulatory agencies. Experience operating a shuttle, bus, passenger van, or other commercial passenger vehicle preferred. Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, including moving, loading, and unloading items weighing up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to perform duties in a variety of environmental conditions, including outdoor weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and humidity. Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading, speaking, understanding, and responding to operational instructions, traffic signs, safety information, customer inquiries, and required documentation, as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
