Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities As an RN, you will be providing on-site nursing and attendant care to our residents. You’ll ensure their health and well-being while working in alignment with the mission and core values of Newport Healthcare. Plus, enjoy a shift differential for your late-night dedication! What You’ll Do Administer medications and monitor vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records. Evaluate medical complaints and concerns from residents, communicating effectively with our Nurse Practitioners and Physicians. Develop and implement treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed. Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions. Maintain comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols. Collaborate with BHS regarding medication management and refills. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing your expertise to enhance patient care. Qualifications Possess a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse License in the state where you will work. Experience in residential nursing a plus. Applicable State Requirements All States Must pass the applicable state/agency background check required for the work location jurisdiction prior to employment. Pre-employment drug screening. Must possess a current and valid CPR certification or obtain one within the first 30 days of employment. Connecticut Minimum age is 21 years old, as a requirement for employment.
