Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations within a hospital setting. This direct hire position is based in Tallahassee, FL, and offers the chance to guide clinical and operational pharmacy services aimed at delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all pharmacy department activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies, procedures, and budgets.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff to optimize performance and professional growth.
- Collaborate with medical and administrative teams to improve medication management and patient safety.
- Oversee medication procurement, inventory control, and utilization review.
- Maintain accreditation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with significant experience in hospital pharmacy operations.
- Proven leadership experience as Director of Pharmacy or equivalent role.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices in a hospital environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
