Career growth and great culture.Our client is a high growth food manufacturer hiring for a Director of Purchasing - Food and Packaging that is based in Victorville, CA.Job DescriptionDevelop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies for food and packaging materials to meet business objectives.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing and cost efficiency.Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to ensure consistent quality and delivery.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business goals.Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet operational demands while minimizing costs.Manage, train and mentor a purchasing and procurement team.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.This role is onsite based in Victorville, CA.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
