Division Chief of Neurointerventional Radiology The University of Massachusetts Memorial Health System (UMMH) and UMass Chan Medical School seek a dynamic and collaborative leader for the Division Chief of Neurointerventional Radiology. About UMMH UMass Memorial Health is the leading health care provider in central Massachusetts, serving a catchment area of approximately 1 million people. UMass Memorial Medical Center is the major academic teaching hospital for UMass Chan Medical School and serves as the regional comprehensive stroke center with American Heart & Stroke association and The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval accreditations, performing over 700 diagnostic catheter angiograms, over 175 large and medium vessel thrombectomies and over 165 endovascular treatments for intracranial aneurysms per year. Division Overview The NIR division of three Neuro-interventional radiologists works collaboratively with two endovascular neurosurgeons sharing the clinical responsibilities of the service. The division performs approximately 100 spine interventions per year and is supported by six dedicated APPs. It has two dedicated Philips Bi-Plane angio suites and access to a third bi-plane suite if needed. Key Responsibilities Manage neurointerventional procedures for stroke, aneurysms, and spinal vascular conditions. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration with neurosurgery, neurology, emergency medicine, and critical care teams. Work closely with the New England Center for Stroke Research (NECStR) to direct stroke and endovascular research and oversee a varied portfolio of clinical trials research. Mentor faculty, residents, and fellows; promote research initiatives; contribute to the academic mission of UMMH and UMass Chan Medical School. Administer strategic planning, budgeting, faculty development, and participate in stroke and neurovascular program leadership. Qualifications Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology with fellowship training in Neurointerventional Radiology. At least five years of clinical and leadership experience. Strong leadership and academic accomplishments in a multidisciplinary setting. Academic rank and compensation commensurate with experience.
