Details Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center hospital setting Operating Room unit supporting structural heart, stroke, spine, cancer, orthopedic, and women's health surgical care Utilizes robotic-assisted surgical technology Epic EMR used Afternoon shift, 12 hours, 11:00 AM-11:30 PM On-call requirement of one 12-hour call shift every week Requirements Active Michigan (MI) RN license required, compact license not accepted Current AHA BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN Operating Room experience required Proficiency in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, Gen/Gyn, and Urology required Recent travel work experience highly preferred Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to Operating Room specialty required for consideration Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required for consideration LARA and/or Nursys verification confirming active Michigan license required for consideration Additional Information Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans before and during procedures Implement, evaluate, and document patient care throughout surgical procedures while prioritizing safety Provide leadership and supervision to the OR team, including anticipating schedule changes and coordinating room activities Assemble equipment and supplies, assist anesthesia as needed, and monitor the sterile field Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR team members, and ancillary departments Participate in staff development through preceptorship, in-services, and continuing education Hospital-provided dress code Local candidates considered within a 50-mile radius restriction, limited to one 13-week contract No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
