About the Role Perform basic redline drafting of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs). Supervision with specific and detailed instructions from the supervisor for day-to-day projects. This position reports directly to the Drafting Team Manager. What You’ll Do Responsible for drawings to have a professional appearance. Required to accurately capture red lines assigned by the project lead. Responsible for accurate back check of individual work against redlined documents. Establish working relationships to maintain a positive and productive work environment internally. Required to learn Kahuna and client specific drafting standards. Ability to do basic 2D drafting utilizing AutoCAD® and CADWorx P&ID® pre-developed tools. Basic understanding of P&ID symbology. Must learn CADWorx P&ID® built-in and Kahuna developed functionality. Accountable to immediate supervisor for receiving tasks. Accountable to immediate supervisor for timesheet approval. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the workflow from beginning to end of a project. Demonstrate ability to functionally communicate technical and administrative project/task details, including correspondence via e-mails and general documentation. Organize and prepare drawings for delivery while maintaining security and confidentiality in a timely manner. Must be willing to be flexible with your schedule to meet deadlines. Other duties and special projects as assigned. What You’ll Bring Must be a motivated self-starter with initiative, drive and can work both independently and as a member of a team. Must be detailed oriented; precise and organized in handling of drawings. Solid organizational skills required; must be able to prioritize and multitask High School diploma or equivalent required. Community college drafting / CAD courses or previous experience with CAD required. Knowledge of AutoCAD® 3-Dimensional drafting is preferred. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to take direction, learn standards, and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
