Monday-Friday; No weekends, holidays, or on-call.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room;
• Plan, implement, and assist in the oversight of patient care;
• Circulate and scrub cases, as assigned;
• Support procedural teams as needed to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency;
• Assist with room turnover and case preparation in accordance with sterile technique and infection-prevention standards;
• Adhere to time-out procedures and Universal Protocol standards;
• Maintain high safety standards for both patients and other staff;
• Accurately document care given according to center policies and procedures;
• Monitor stock levels, supplies, and equipment needs;
• Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection-control practices, and performance metrics
• Collaborate effectively with proceduralists, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and administrative staff
• Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted NYS RN License;
• BCLS required;
• ACLS/PALS preferred;
• 1-2 years of experience in the Operating Room, two or more years preferred with scrub and circulating experience;
• Ability to effectively communicate with providers, patients, and peers;
