Aide, Dietary Support | Food Service Assistant

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where your role as a Dietary Support Aide is vital to patient care and satisfaction. This position involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of patient and cafeteria trays, utensils, and dishware, as well as assisting with food transport and minor food preparation tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and air dry dishes, pots, and pans according to assigned duties.
• Deliver patient meals promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Assemble patient trays following the prescribed menu.
• Maintain temperature and cleaning logs to uphold sanitation standards.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized, and safe.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Experience

Up to 3 months of food service experience is preferred but can be acquired through on-the-job training.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform basic math.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
• Reading and writing skills necessary to understand policies and procedures.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds during shifts.
• Comfortable working in environments with heat, noise, wet floors, and exposure to steam, water, chemicals, glass, and sharp objects.

This role may involve occasional contact with patients and requires a warm, team-oriented approach to supporting healthcare services in a regional medical setting.
