Plant Controller

Overview We are seeking a Plant Controller to serve as the primary financial leader for a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations at the plant level, including reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. As a key member of the site leadership team, this position partners closely with operations and corporate finance to drive performance, improve efficiency, and support strategic decision‑making. Key Responsibilities Serve as the financial lead and a key member of the site leadership team Manage and oversee the plant's income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow Own and deliver accurate and timely financial reporting Lead cost accounting activities, including coordination with broader finance teams Manage inventory controls and material usage, including physical inventory and cycle counts Monitor and analyze labor productivity and support operational efficiency initiatives Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, including audit support and training Analyze monthly financial results and collaborate with plant leadership to drive improvements Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and support monthly planning processes Lead the capital expenditure (CapEx) process, including forecasting, project justification, and tracking results Drive cost reduction, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives Support financial performance improvements across multiple facilities as needed High level of interaction with operations, finance, and cross‑functional teams Based in a manufacturing facility with occasional travel to other locations Combination of office and plant floor exposure Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment Experience in cost accounting strongly preferred MBA or CPA is a plus Required Skills Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSorry Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred) Experience supporting or leading system implementations or integrations is highly desirable Proven track record of process improvement and operational support Ability to work cross‑functionally within a manufacturing environment Core Competencies Self‑starter with the ability to identify opportunities and drive solutions Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy Intellectual curiosity and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment Physical Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing and walking for extended periods Ability to move between office and production areas as needed What Makes This Role Unique Key leadership role with direct impact on plant performance and profitability Opportunity to partner closely with operations and influence business decisions Exposure to end‑to‑end manufacturing finance operations Involvement in strategic planning, system improvements, and process optimization *Relocation is available for qualified candidates #J-18808-Ljbffr
