This candidate will work hands on from inception of a case to trial with the assistance of an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team. Litigation will be on a broad range of personal injury cases including auto accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, elder abuse, and sexual abuse cases. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in active litigation, including taking and defending depositions, conducting discovery, attending mediation, arguing law and motion, and serving as either first or second chair in arbitration and/or jury trials. Our attorneys litigate cases and are provided all the resources to do so, all to obtain the client maximum recovery and not settle for less due to being handcuffed by a pre-litigation only firm. This is great opportunity for those attorneys that are seeking to evolve their litigation skills as the firm's leadership invests in educating associate attorneys. This role is fully on-site in our Irvine, CA office.ResponsibilitiesHandle all aspects of personal injury litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation and executionRepresent clients in court, mediation, depositions, and arbitration, advocating effectively at each stageDraft clear and compelling legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreementsCommunicate effectively and frequently with clients, opposing counsel, and courts, including engaging in regular settlement negotiations on behalf of clientsManage caseload independently while collaborating with company attorneys and support staffRequirementsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive California State Bar membershipMinimum 1-4 years of personal injury or similar law experienceStrong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesBenefitsSalary commensurate with your experience ($100,000.00 - $180,000.00)Commission percentage on settled cases depending on experienceMonthly bonuses based on settlement amountsWe have a company culture that fosters career growth and opportunityWe are a team – everyone is important and contributes to corporate growth and successWe believe continuing education is important, so we pay membership dues to various professional organizations, and we pay for MCLE courses.
