Experienced in sales or retail (luxury experience is a major plus). Key Responsibilities Drive sales and contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services. Promote the Design program and assist the designer to achieve established sales goals. Consistently execute the La‑Z‑Boy selling process and strive to provide a favorable experience to all customers. Develop and utilize sales skills and principles including approach, rapport building, needs discovery, customized portfolio presentations, answering objections, closing, follow‑up, after‑sale service and continuing contact with all customers. Execute and champion the Design process following company guidelines. Provide support to design‑related functions in the store. Maintain strong product knowledge and provide excellent customer service. Use Podium to ensure customer satisfaction and future follow‑up. Support customer issues and provide appropriate solutions. Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on product knowledge and selling process. Assist with visual merchandising, catalog maintenance, and general store cleanliness. Accurately complete order information, collect deposits, and maintain customer records. Schedule deliveries and support the opening and closing of the store. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and positively influence. Persuasion and negotiation skills. Ability to manage time and multiple priorities. Ability to work as part of a team. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Initiative to meet assigned goals. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Preferred Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field. Physical Demands / Work Environment Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Use of repetitive hand motions, hearing, and listening. Regular sitting, walking, bending, and stooping. Indoor environmental conditions. Ability to pass background and drug screen. Benefits Base pay $13.50 per hour (varies by store location). Commission: 3% on La‑Z‑Boy Design sales; 2% on other sales. Quarterly bonus up to $1,500 based on meeting sales goals. Paid time off: 9–11 paid holidays, two weeks’ prorated vacation for new hires.
