Senior Backend (Java) DeveloperApex Systems is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer for one of our largest retail clients. This position is a 100% remote opportunity.Location: 100% RemoteDuration: Long term contract (through 2024)Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineer or 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree5+ years’ experience in JavaExperience with AWSJava APIsExperience with TDDExperience with NoSQL DBMSExperience designing and implementing CI/CD strategies including automated deployment and release pipelinesDeep experience with structured and object-oriented software development methodologies including requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis, process and data modeling, logical and physical system designFamiliarity with software and infrastructure change management, release management, and source code configuration control including knowledge of CI/CD tools and processesFamiliarity with performance tuning applicationsExperience with GitAbility to reason through complex situations with strength in identifying and mitigating risksAbility to build / maintain strong relationships, effectively partner with peers, and possess excellent verbal / written communication skillsStrong prioritization skills required to manage all in-flight and pending tasks appropriately.
