Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on patient progress.
• Document medical records accurately and timely in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in student programs by providing a positive learning environment for students.
• Create individualized professional development plans and pursue professional growth through education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Adhere to state practice acts and regulatory agency guidelines while maintaining professional licensure.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Active CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for physical therapy.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule, providing 8-hour shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
