Licensed Practical Nurse - Corrections

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a reliable and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Corrections to deliver nursing care and support to individuals in a correctional facility. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the health and well-being of incarcerated patients while ensuring compliance with correctional healthcare standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and routine treatments.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to the RN or healthcare provider as needed.
• Assist with intake assessments, daily sick calls, and scheduled clinical appointments.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and state regulations.
• Support emergency care response, including triage and first aid interventions.
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA protocols within a secure environment.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and correctional staff.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited LPN program .
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience , preferably in corrections, psych, or acute care.
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and in structured environments.
• Familiarity with correctional healthcare policies and procedures preferred.
