- # Registered Nurse (RN) IMCU- Part TimeApplyremote type: On-Sitelocations: Charlottesville, VAtime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR-104805**City/State**Charlottesville, VA**Work Shift**Multiple shifts available**Overview:****Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital** is hiring an RN for a Part Time, Day shift on our IMCU in Charlottesville, VA.**Sign on bonus up to 7,500 available for qualified candidates.****Intermediate Care Unit - Cornell 1:** The Telemetry/Stroke Unit at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post- coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. Cornell 1 also cares for TIA, acute stroke, and post procedural neuro cases that stepdown from ICU. This 30-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:5 with mixed patient acuity levels and is well supported with additional patient care technicians, educators, and a strong leadership team.* Sentara Martha Jefferson has under a 12.6% RN Turnover rate* Patient Satisfaction scores are highest in the system at Martha Jefferson* Sentara Martha Jefferson Foundation education assistance program up to $32,500* Free Parking at Sentara Martha JeffersonRegistered Nurse Transition to Practice Programs at Sentara:Unique 6-Month Program Includes:* No separate application required, automatic enrollment for any RN with less than 12 months experience or transitioning to a new practice area.* General Nursing Orientation* Specialty Clinical Track Residency* Professional Development Sessions* Mentoring and Unit-based PreceptorThe Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
