Registered Nurse - Telemetry Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Rotating shifts, 3x12-Hour schedule: Day (07:00 - 19:30) and Night (19:00 - 07:30). Anticipate 3 weeks of each shift in a 6-week schedule, dependent on unit needs.

The Registered Nurse for the Telemetry Unit is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, primarily focusing on cardiac and respiratory diagnoses. This role involves managing a diverse patient population, while ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and providing essential nursing interventions.

• Assess and manage patients in a telemetry care setting.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, interpreting and responding to abnormal findings.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as per established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and health promotion.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to safety standards.

• Pennsylvania or Compact RN license in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry unit.
• Charting experience with Cerner is required.
