Full-time Vet Assistant

Total Veterinary Care in Grove City (Greater Columbus Area) is a three‑doctor general day practice seeking a dedicated, motivated, and experienced veterinary assistant to join our dynamic team. Compensation Hiring range: $16 – $18 per hour, depending on experience and skill level. Schedule Hospital hours: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Candidates must be available a minimum of 30 hours each week to be considered full‑time. Candidates must be available to work a rotating Saturday schedule. Qualifications At least 1 full year (12+ months) of full‑time experience as a veterinary assistant in a general practice or small animal hospital. Proficient in restraining techniques, in‑house laboratory skills, catheter placement, blood draws, and prescription accuracy. Effective communication with clients and team members, problem‑solving, work ethic, maturity, time‑management, and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of preventative medications, medical terminology, calculations, and passion for client education. Initiative in preparing for daily appointments, taking phone calls, setting appointments, recording medical histories, assisting veterinarians in surgery, physical exams, and diagnostic workups. Efficient organization and attention to multiple details, staying motivated to provide excellent client service.
