Travel RN – Emergency Room | 16-Week Holiday Coverage

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 16 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every other weekend required | No RTO or special scheduling accommodations

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 101-bed Emergency Department serving a diverse, multi-cultural community
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 4:1 for medical patients, with ratios up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Float as needed within all sections of the ED; no floating outside of the Emergency Department
• Uphold patient experience standards including AIDET communication, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards and patients updated throughout each visit
• Collaborate with ED techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across all shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• ACLS required prior to submission
• BLS required prior to submission
• PALS required prior to submission
• TNCC required prior to submission
• NIHSS required prior to submission
• ENPC required prior to submission
• CPI required by date of hire
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED and meet departmental scheduling needs
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
• Background in a high-volume ED with more than 100,000 annual visits
• Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
