Visiting Assistant Professor, Chemistry, UC Blue Ash College

Job Overview The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a full‑time Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 15, 2026. This position is for the 2026‑2027 academic year only and is not eligible for the tenure track; however, it could be extended into a second year if department need and budget allow. Essential Functions Teach an average of 12 contact hours per semester of lecture and/or lab courses for majors and nonmajors. Duties include general chemistry for science majors, general, organic, and biochemistry (GOB) courses for allied health students, and general education chemistry courses for non‑science majors. Courses may be assigned during daytime or evening. Participate in ongoing professional development in chemistry, chemical education, and/or the scholarship of teaching and learning. Participate in departmental service such as committee involvement or new course design. Minimum Requirements Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related field with 18 credit hours of graduate‑level chemistry coursework. One academic year of college‑level teaching experience as the primary instructor in chemistry or closely related field. Application Process Applicants must apply online at (requisition #102023).
