Pay Rate - $20/HR

Job Title: Assembler Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Assembler Technician with a minimum of 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, well-developed organizational and communication skills, and the ability to measure in millimeters. You must have basic knowledge of hand tools and machine operation, and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, performing repetitious duties, and standing or walking for long periods. The ideal candidate will be able to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and other written instructions, and possess proficient computer skills including typing, word processing, and printing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.
• Gather parts, tools, and materials necessary for assembly.
• Assemble component parts to company specifications and customer expectations.
• Assemble shocks, sub-assemblies, or hose assemblies according to approved drawings or visual aids.
• Operate machines and use hand/power tools such as pneumatic press, torque wrench, and drill.
• Operate a circular saw to cut hose for hose assemblies per blueprint specifications.
• Clean and prepare parts and sub-assemblies for assembly.
• Recommend changes for process or quality improvements.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety and environmental policies.
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections of parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for defects.
• Report quality issues to lead or supervisor for further direction.
• Complete all housekeeping activities throughout the day and maintain work area in order.
• Exhibit integrity through fair and ethical behaviors and maintain accountability for performance.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly line.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal/written directions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand on feet for the full shift.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and machine operation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and other written instructions.
• Basic computer skills for navigating company software programs like SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft.
• Experience measuring in millimeters

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Certificate from technical or vocational school desired.
• Previous automotive experience is a plus.
• Mechanical experience with knowledge of hand tools, torque wrenches, bench grinders, drill press, and calipers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Poway,CA.
