Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care and neonatal experience for a day shift travel assignment at a Level IV Trauma Center in Vernal, UT.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department at a 39-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level IV Trauma Center, Stroke Receiving Facility, and Chest Pain Accredited facility with a 5-star CMS rating
• Treats all age groups including adults, geriatric, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Common diagnoses and treatments include asthma, COPD, and premature infants
• Equipment includes ventilators, BiPAPs, Vapotherm, and infant nasal CPAP
• EMR: Medhost
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Schedule runs 6 days on, 8 days off
• Weekend hours are included in the standard weekly schedule
• No call or on-call requirements
• No float requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
• Critical care and neonatal RT experience required
• Ability to work independently in a smaller hospital setting
• Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, NRP, and ACLS (AHA certifications required)
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Active RT license required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• Provides general respiratory therapy services across all departments and age groups, including critical care and neonatal care
• Must be comfortable working independently and adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Outgoing and friendly personality is expected given the team culture
• Navy blue scrubs required; street clothes are not permitted
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
