Laboratory Technician I, Sanger, 6:30 pm - 3am EST

Job Title Laboratory Technician I, Sanger Location South Plainfield, NJ Shift Monday – Friday, 6:30PM – 3:00AM EST Responsibilities Adhere to safety protocols. Strictly follow SOPs and site trainer’s direction in training, sample handling, project processing, and documentation. Maintain the cleanliness of the work area. Sort incoming samples. Prepare sequencing templates, including preparation, amplification, and PCR purification. Perform labware washing and collect, package biohazardous/hazardous waste. Communicate with customers and other departments by email or phone in a friendly and professional manner. Assist in purifying sequencing templates and load samples onto sequencing machines. May need to work with automation platforms. May require overtime and/or weekends. Alternative shifts may be scheduled with advanced notice. Desired Skills Attention to detail. AAS degree or equivalent lab work experience (preferred). At least 1 year of laboratory work experience (preferred). Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
