Position Title:  Lead Platform Engineer (IC3)
Location : Considering candidates who live within 50 miles (commutable distance) to our client's Corporate Offices in Evansville IN or Baltimore MD
Duration: 6 with possible extension
Employment Type: Contract role on W-2 through Above and Beyond Talent Acquisition, Inc. (A&B Talent)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3x per week in office 
Pay Rate : $60.00 to $65.00

Who we are looking for / Requirements:

We are seeking a Lead Network Engineer with deep expertise in F5 BIG-IP administration and Ansible automation. These are the core technical requirements for the role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise load balancing, DNS infrastructure, and automating network operations using Infrastructure-as-Code principles.

• Expert-level experience administering  F5 BIG-IP , including BIG-IP DNS (GTM)
• Provisioning, configuration, and administration of  F5 BIG-IP DNS/GTM
• Experience performing  BIG-IP software upgrades
• Wide IP configuration, validation, and DNS traffic management
• Strong troubleshooting skills for BIG-IP DNS/GTM environments
• Hands-on experience with  Ansible automation for network infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and network automation best practices
• Experience supporting highly available enterprise network and application delivery environments
• Strong knowledge of load balancing, DNS, and application delivery concepts

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:

• Lead the provisioning, configuration, administration, and upgrade of F5 BIG-IP DNS (GTM) and BIG-IQ environments.
• Manage and optimize NGINX Plus and NGINXaaS deployments, including high-availability configurations and Azure Load Balancer integrations.
• Design, maintain, and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, YAML, Jinja2, and GitHub workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex DNS, GTM, NGINX, BGP routing, and network infrastructure issues across production environments.
• Drive scalability, resiliency, automation, and operational best practices across F5, Azure, Arista, and enterprise application delivery platforms.
