Principal Electrical Engineer - Autonomous Vehicles

Dallas, TXHardware /Full-time /On-siteThe hardware team at ISEE is seeking a full-time electrical engineer with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of electrical engineering. This job includes research as well as development of replacement or new subsystems in the electro-mechanical architecture for both prototype designs as well as production intent designs for autonomous vehicles.Role responsibilities include:-Embedded development, programming and working with embedded developers-Defining and designing communications systems such as CAN(J1939, CANOpen) SPI, I2C, USB, and RS-232.-Working with others to develop and design the overall electrical architecture-Working with others to integrate electronics into vehicles-Design of safety critical system elements-Verification and Validation of electrical systems-Work with suppliers and drive the implementation of development into production-PCB layout, schematic designQualifications-Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering-Passionate about self-driving vehicles-Excellent communication skills-Experience with electrical drawings and parts management-Experience with prototyping of boardsPreferred -10+ years of work experience-Experience with actuators and sensors of varying types-Experience with safety critical design work-Robotics/autonomous experience is a plus-Experience with Verification and Validation processesWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
