We are seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our collaborative Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) team. In this role, you’ll use evidence-based practices and a family-centered approach to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. \n Our ABA Program\n At Easterseals Central Illinois, our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program is designed to empower children with autism and developmental differences to build meaningful skills through play, connection, and evidence-based strategies. Our BCBAs work hand-in-hand with families and an interdisciplinary team of therapists to create individualized treatment plans that support each child’s communication, social, and daily living skills—helping them thrive in every environment they’re part of. \n In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in:\n \n Outpatient Pediatric ABA Therapy: Provide direct and consultative ABA services to children with autism and other developmental differences. Design and oversee individualized treatment programs focused on skill acquisition, communication, socialization, and adaptive behavior.\n Community & Home Settings: Extend therapy beyond the clinic by supporting clients in their homes, schools, and community settings, promoting generalization and real-world success.\n Family Coaching & Collaboration: Empower families through hands-on parent coaching and education, helping caregivers carry over effective strategies and support their child’s progress.\n Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration: Partner with Occupational, Physical, Speech, and Feeding Therapists, as well as behavioral and counseling professionals, to create holistic and coordinated care plans.\n Clinical Supervision & Mentorship: Provide supervision and guidance to ABA Apprentices, supporting their professional growth while maintaining quality and integrity of client care.\n \n \n \n Why Join Easterseals Central Illinois?\n Easterseals has 75 affiliates across the nation that provide services and support to more than one million individuals and families living with a disability every year! The final offer may be structured as either an hourly rate or a salary, depending on the role classification, and will consider several individualized factors including relevant experience, scope and responsibilities of the role, qualifications and credentials, talent availability and specialization, and organizational needs. The BCBA uses the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis within a family-centered approach to develop and carry out programs and activities designed to improve the lives of children and their families. \n Job Functions: \n Clinical Responsibilities\n \n Supervises individualized ABA programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders in a variety of settings- primarily in-center, but additionally out in the community, in-home, in schools, and within other peer-group social contexts.\n Provides clinical supervision and work direction to treatment teams to include skills enhancement, clinical consultation, and professional development.\n Conducts initial assessment of clients diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and produces assessment report to include a recommendation for treatment and supervision hours.\n Assures clients receive interventions to meet the full extent of the services authorized; adjusts staffing of treatment team as appropriate to meet the needs of the client.\n Coaches clinical teams on the procedural implementation of treatment plans via team meetings and live/in-person supervision.\n Reviews data and reports submitted by the direct care team and recommends changes to the program, procedures, and data collection methods to assure programs reflect each child's development and progress towards identified goals.\n Observes and assesses client skills and progress to inform recommendations for ongoing intervention and behavioral programming.\n Creates and leads the implementation of Behavior Support Plans as appropriate.\n Collaborates with additional service providers on the client's support team to ensure comprehensive service delivery.\n Addresses program delivery with families, including parent/caregiver coaching, challenges with the implementation of the program, parent /caregiver participation, and work environment as necessary.\n Reviews progress reports and treatment plans, ensuring that they meet the requirements of regulatory agencies and funding sources and are clinically accurate and appropriate.\n Attends progress and treatment plan review meetings with families. Attaining and achieving position competencies in relation to role responsibilities.\n Provides clinical supervision for ABA Apprentices, including all associated documentation.\n \n Administrative Responsibilities\n \n Meeting productivity requirements and providing efficient and effective service in all areas of performance.\n Maintain accurate documentation of billable tasks that meets the requirements of regulatory agencies and funding sources and is HIPAA compliant.\n Track direct and indirect client sessions to ensure that services are provided to the full extent of the authorization for each client.\n Coordinate documentation to ensure reauthorization and continuation of services when necessary.\n Develops ideas, plans, and procedures for initiation, expansion, improvement, and evaluation of Easterseals ABA Services. \n \n Marginal Responsibilities\n \n Participates in meetings and on committees as required and appropriate. \n Develops and presents staff in-service training and community education and/or training.\n Maintains awareness of trends and evidence-based practices.\n Other duties as assigned.\n \n Education/Experience Requirements:\n \n Master's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines is required: applied behavior analysis, early childhood education/development, early childhood special education, special education, pediatric therapy, psychology, or a related field.\n Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) with current licensure in good standing with the regulatory board.\n One year of experience implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis services, preferably with children with ASD. \n \n Competency Requirements:\n \n Advanced knowledge and skill necessary to independently provide evaluations and treatment plans related to credentialed/licensed field of practice.\n Ability to oversee and direct team members’ case assignments and provide timely performance-related feedback.\n Comprehensive understanding of accreditation requirements related to outcomes data collection, reporting, and communication.\n Ensures client and family confidentiality by complying with Easterseals policy and procedure, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accessibility Act) requirements, and any other privacy requirements as may be specified by referral sources, funders or other licensing and regulatory entities.\n Knowledgeable of evidence-based methodologies found to benefit children diagnosed with ASD, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-Handicapped Children (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and Pivotal Response Training (PRT).\n Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population. \n Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; American Sign Language or bilingual ability preferred.\n Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.\n Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.\n Able to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.\n Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software and excel.\n \n Mental Requirements: \n The mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\n \n Requires alertness to respond to audio and visual cues from clients, other staff members, the environment, and standard office machines and equipment.\n Ability to calmly handle and intervene when necessary, in behavioral and health-related incidents.\n Logic and reasoning for forecasting future needs, goals, and events.\n Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and schedules.\n Ability to respond quickly to rush projects or emergencies.\n Logic and reasoning for forecasting future needs, goals, and events. \n \n Physical Requirements:\n The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\n \n Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.\n Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with clients.\n Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials up to 50lbs.\n Ability to physically implement behavior management strategies including responding to physically aggressive behavior.\n Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff, and others in the workplace continuously.\n Ability to utilize a computer, tablet, telephone, and copy machine.\n Frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.\n Ability to drive to all Easterseals centers and service sites within a 100-mile radius, as needed. \n \n Work Environment:\n \n Routinely works in office environments with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and temperature.\n Community Settings for meetings and direct service activities.\n Client homes for direct service activities.\n Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. \n \n Conditions of Employment:\n \n Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance. \n Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record.\n Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.\n Ability to obtain and maintain QBS Safety-Care training certification. \n Ability to maintain active BCBA certification status.\n Ability to obtain and maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI).\n \n \n Easterseals Central Illinois is an equal opportunity employer.
