Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Position Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (N/T) – Full time, 40 hours per week, Winston Salem, North Carolina. Position Highlights Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 per hour Sign‑On Bonus: $15,000 for qualified new hires, $10,000 for graduates Relocation Assistance: up to $5,000 Schedule: 5 days per week with periodic on‑call duties Full‑time, 40 hours per week Requirements Nuclear Medicine Technician registration (ARRT) within 1 year of hire OR CNMT from NMTCB Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers within 6 months of hire Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Nuclear Medicine Responsibilities Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, including cardiac studies. Review patient records and physician orders to ensure exam accuracy. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and adjunct medications per clinician prescription. Conduct venipuncture, peripheral IV placement, and other vascular access as trained. Follow correct procedures for handling radioactive materials and implement ALARA measures. Post‑process images, labeling and documenting accurately. Enter study information into the radiology information system, including billing codes. Identify equipment performance issues, perform QA tests, and report malfunctions. Perform patient positioning and transport duties, including lifting, pushing, pulling. Provide age‑appropriate care and follow departmental policies. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and radioactive material program requirements. Competence in IV and venipuncture, basic ECG interpretation, and pharmacology. Excellent communication and patient‑service skills. Ability to work independently. Intermediate computer skills. Physical Requirements And Working Conditions Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist throughout the workday. Lifts up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, 20 lbs. over head, carries up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance. Pushing and pulling with 30 lbs. of force; performs sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person. May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards; PPE required. Requires clear speech, vision, and hearing. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job. Compensation Base compensation within the listed pay range based on qualifications and experience.
