Contract Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Valley Cottage, NY | Clinic-Based Pediatric OT

Giant Leaps Occupational Therapy is seeking a passionate, play-based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our supportive pediatric clinic team!

We are looking for a warm, energetic, and collaborative clinician who enjoys helping children build confidence, regulation, independence, and functional skills through engaging, child-centered therapy.

Schedule

• Sundays 
• 1–3 weekday afternoons/evenings (after school hours) 
• Flexible contract position 

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized, play-based OT treatment sessions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist 
• Support development in sensory processing, fine motor, motor planning, emotional regulation, executive functioning, ADLs, and visual motor skills 
• Collaborate with families and caregivers to support meaningful progress 
• Complete session documentation in a timely manner 
• Communicate effectively with supervising therapists and team members 

Qualifications

• Current NYS COTA License 
• Pediatric experience preferred 
• Experience with sensory integration/play-based therapy strongly preferred 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills 
• Positive, compassionate, and child-centered approach
