Associate Chaplain

Responsibilities Responsible for assessing spiritual needs, provides spiritual care and pastoral counseling to patients/families/employees. Assesses, provides, and documents pastoral care to patients, families, and staff daily. Works with area Ministers. Proactively participates in inter-disciplinary delivery of holistic patient care services through rounding, inter-departmental meetings, and family conferences. Maintains appropriate follow-up care with patient/families. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Associate’s degree preferred Pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree and Clinical Pastoral Education expected Licensed or Commissioned to Ministry by Church optional Ordination optional Endorsement by local church, diocese, or denomination within 2 years 1 year of technical experience Core Competencies Demonstrates the ability to assess and address spiritual needs through pastoral counseling and care, while effectively collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient support.
