Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed
• Floating required to all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding)
• Scrub color: Navy
• 42-bed ICU unit (East 20, West 22) including Neuro/Med (22 beds), CTICU (6 beds), and Surg/Trauma (14 beds)
• Common patient diagnoses include strokes, sepsis, altered mental status, neuro intervention (TCAR), respiratory failure, CHF, and post-STEMI in the Neuro/Med unit
• CTICU patients include cardiovascular surgery, cardiogenic shock, and AAA
• Surg/Trauma patients include trauma and major post-operative cases
• Must have experience with CRRT and Prismaflex
• Heart experience highly preferred and prioritized by hiring manager
• Specialty equipment used on unit includes IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage), Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM (Arctic Sun)
• EMR experience with EPIC required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (4-5 years preferred) in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Active NY RN license required

This facility is a large, comprehensive healthcare organization featuring a robust intensive care unit with 42 beds across multiple specialized care areas, including Neuro/Med, Cardiothoracic, and Surgical/Trauma ICUs. The unit is equipped with advanced specialty technology to support complex, high-acuity patient care. The organization supports a wide range of critical care specialties and utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system.
