Rural Engagement District Manager

Reports To: National Rural Engagement Director Department: Cycle of Engagement Work Location: IA-01 Job Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt Supervisory Responsibilities: No The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority. Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle. Position Summary The DCCC is seeking experienced Rural Engagement District Managers to work on competitive congressional races in the assigned district(s) for the 2026 cycle. This role will work closely with DCCC Engagement Directors and the Organizing team to engage, persuade, mobilize, and turnout Rural voters. They are responsible for building relationships with community leaders and stakeholders, growing grassroots infrastructure, recruiting volunteers, and engaging in voter mobilization efforts. This position is part of a collective bargaining unit. Responsibilities Recruit and develop volunteers to meet voter contact goals Identifying and recruiting validators who can speak to rural issues Developing a district specific outreach plan informed by demographics, cultural nuances and organizational partnerships Develop cultural ties within the districts, grow existing regional infrastructure, and cultivate diverse political talent through relationship building with community leaders.
