Entry-Level Associate Attorney (1-2 Years Experience) Location: Tacoma, WA Position: Full-Time Associate Attorney Join One of Washington's Leading Plaintiff Advocacy Firms Cochran Douglas, PLLC is seeking a motivated, ambitious, and client-focused Associate Attorney with 1–2 years of legal experience to join our growing litigation team. Our firm represents clients throughout Washington in complex personal injury, wrongful death, sexual abuse, and civil litigation matters. Position Overview This position offers a unique opportunity to gain substantial litigation experience. The chosen candidate will work closely with senior attorneys on all phases of case development, investigation, discovery, motions practice, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and trial. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, emotionally mature, highly organized, and motivated by a desire to advocate for individuals who have experienced profound trauma. Responsibilities Manage a litigation caseload under the supervision of senior attorneys Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations Take and defend depositions Attend court hearings and mediations Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts Participate in trial preparation and trial work Assist with case strategy and settlement negotiations Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Licensed to practice law in Washington State or eligible for immediate admission 1–2 years of litigation experience preferred Strong legal research and writing skills Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Commitment to client service and professional excellence Desire to develop into a first-chair trial attorney Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits Performance-based bonus Paid vacation and holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr Cochran Douglas, PLLC
