Field Nurse Case Manager – Portland and Vancouver area This hybrid position requires the candidate to be located in the Portland and Vancouver area to facilitate regular local travel (80% of the time) for in‑person patient appointments. You must be willing to travel and be licensed in Oregon and Washington. The field nurse case manager is responsible for the medical case management of work‑related injuries, which includes assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of injured/disabled individuals. The case manager works with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees, closely monitors the progress of the injured worker, and reports results back to the employer and insurance carriers. Must be willing to learn and take catastrophic cases. Responsibilities Assess and plan care for injured or disabled employees in workers’ compensation cases. Coordinate medical treatment, gather and review documentation, and maintain case files. Communicate with insurance carriers, providers, attorneys, employers, and employees regarding case status and outcomes. Monitor healing progress and provide updates to stakeholders. Identify catastrophic or complex cases and develop strategies for optimal recovery. Maintain accurate, compliant records in accordance with licensure and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon and Washington. Experience in case management of workers’ comp cases strongly preferred. Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC) strongly preferred (must be obtained within two years of hire date). Strong organizational and timeline‑adherence skills. Proficient in Windows PC and relevant technology. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight.
