Sr Trade Compliance Analyst - Recon

As a Senior Trade Compliance Analyst – Reconciliation at Honeywell Aerospace, you will shape the company’s global trade compliance strategy. You will lead and execute import compliance initiatives, develop and enforce policies, and collaborate across functions to ensure seamless cross‑border movement of goods while mitigating risks and preventing penalties. Key Responsibilities Serve as Subject Matter Expert and lead for the US value reconciliation program, driving process improvements and digital transformation. Ensure import transactions comply with all applicable international trade regulations. Guarantee that all reconciliation filings are compliant and submitted on schedule. Partner with internal stakeholders to standardize and modernize processes. Establish a robust operating system for key functions such as ACE administration and customs correspondence. Manage record‑keeping and import procedures related to reconciliation. Support SAP, GTS, and other system deployments. Conduct audits, training, and oversight of related activities. Deliver training to audiences of all sizes. Support special projects as required. Interpret International Trade Regulations, emphasizing US Customs Regulations. Provide guidance to Logistics, Finance, Customer Service, and other functions on compliance matters. Ensure effective management of customs brokers. Qualifications 3 years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in a multinational company. Strong knowledge of import regulations, including customs laws. Experience managing trade compliance programs, including classification and compliance audits. U.S. person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status under asylum or refugee status) is required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree in business, finance, or information technology preferred. Direct experience in filing value reconciliation for U.S. importers. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) – preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft programs, Teams, and SharePoint. Experience developing or implementing digital solutions with tools such as Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Flow. Strong knowledge of SAP and GTS. Deep understanding of import compliance fundamentals including tariff schedule classification, valuation, and country‑of‑origin determination. Analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with assertiveness, initiative, and a customer‑focused mindset. Ability to conduct training and present to groups or within a team environment. Teamwork and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Adaptability to changing regulations and industry trends.
