Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic ICU setting at a Level I Trauma, Teaching, and acute care facility with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CABG, aortic aneurysm/dissection repair, pulmonary embolism, cardiac arrest, heart failure, MODS, and sepsis
• Manage advanced interventions including Post-Op Open Hearts, CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial lines, CVCs, chest tubes, and bedside surgical procedures
• Operate specialized equipment such as Hemosphere, Arctic Sun, Blanketrol, Belmont, Glidescope, Cortrak, and Phillips monitors
• Document patient care using Cerner electronic health records
• May be floated within scope to other ICUs, PCU floors, ED (for admitted patients), or PACU (for admitted patients) to meet facility needs

• Active or pending RN license (pending licensure may be accepted at time of submission)
• ACLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• BLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; non-local driver's license required on file
• Must be available to work holidays as assigned, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day for December starts

• Prior CVICU or CTVICU experience strongly preferred
• Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, and CRRT in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Cerner charting preferred

• Expected 36 or 48 hours per week with overtime potentially available after 48 hours (must be pre-approved); facility may call off up to 3 times during a 13-week assignment
• Work at a high-acuity Level I Trauma and Teaching facility offering exposure to complex cardiovascular cases and advanced technology in a no-cost parking environment
