A registered nurse in the Peds ED will collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to provide excellent, compassionate care to our patients.Shifts:Part-time Night shift availableNursing skills gained on this unit:Strong clinical judgment and independence in a small, high?responsibility 8?bed unitClose collaboration with highly engaged leaders who work in scrubs and support bedside careA voice in unit decisions through shared governance and a professional practice councilGrowth in a Magnet?recognized environment focused on evidence?based practice and teamworkUnit Successes/Designations:Preferred pediatric clinical site for 3 nursing schoolsZero hospital-acquired infections or harm events in 2022 and 2023Magnet re-designation in 2023Unit Culture Highlights:Small unit that facilitates a strong team bondA supportive culture with low turnover, strong team cohesion, and a focus on well?being and work–life balanceQualifications:Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
