Title
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule
12-hour NIGHTS, 18:45-07:15

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Required: Active NC or Compact License
- Certifications: AWHONN Beginner/Intermediate, BLS/BCLS, FHM, NRP
- Experience in labor and delivery and couplet/mother-baby care
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage labor and delivery, perform sterile vaginal exams, and assist with vaginal deliveries.
- Conduct fetal monitoring and recognize/treat abnormal FHR patterns.
- Perform newborn assessments, including APGAR and thermoregulation.
- Circulate for C-sections and provide recovery care in PACU.
- Administer medications, start and maintain peripheral IVs, and manage IV infusions.
- Triage obstetrical patients and ensure safe postpartum care for mother and newborn.

Compliance / Notes
- Pre-approved time off must be accommodated; all RTO must be pre-approved.
- Vaccinations: Flu vaccine is required (medical/religious exemptions only).
- Background checks and drug screens may be required.
- Orientation includes hospital and unit-specific training.
