MachinistWhat Will You Do?Must be self-motivated and open minded to learn our machining and safety proceduresEfficiently, carefully, and accurately sets-up and operates manual mills and lathes and has lengthy experience using a horizontal boring mill on a wide variety of diversified workLays out work and produce quality partsDeciphers sketches, blueprints, and engineering detailsProvides assistance in establishing set up and layout methods, order of operations, and application of required parts and materialsCarries a job through from raw materials to the finished products from drawings, sketches, samples or verbal instructionSharpens, reworks, resets and repairs cutting toolsInspects and checks parts being producedMaintains accurate production records and job historyPerforms minor machine maintenance activities. Assists in setting up complex machines and stacking, marking, packing and transporting of finished products.
