Sleep Technologist

Position Overview We are urgently seeking an experienced Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) for a full‑time night shift position at a sleep lab in Salem, VA. Must be a RPSGT to qualify and have VA licensure. Pay: $30 to $45 per hour plus benefits. Location: Salem, VA. Shift: Overnights 8:00 PM-6:00 AM, primarily on weekends. Responsibilities Testing and Data Collection: Facilitate polysomnographic tests and collect accurate data. Equipment Preparation: Prepare and calibrate equipment, apply electrodes, sensors, and airway pressure masks as per established protocols. Monitoring and Recording: Record patient activities, monitor study quality, and document clinical events. Data Analysis: Score clinical events and tabulate data for physician review. Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and laboratory protocols. Job Requirements Education: High school diploma or higher; completion of an accredited Polysomnography program. Certification/Licenses: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Experience: Prior experience as an RPSGT or RRT in a sleep lab setting. Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; use hands to operate equipment; adequate vision; lift and/or move up to 10 lb regularly, 25 lb frequently, and 50 lb occasionally. Other: Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required; must meet federal employment eligibility requirements (E-Verify participation).
