Job Description

This role supports a highly automated, brand-new food manufacturing facility that produces protein bars. As a Production Associate, you work on the production line to assist machine operators by handling ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting both processing and packing operations. The position requires flexibility to adapt to evolving processes in a startup environment and the ability to transition from a daytime schedule to a second-shift schedule as the plant ramps up.

Responsibilities

• Support machine operators on the production line to ensure efficient production of protein bars.
• Load raw ingredients into mixing machines according to established procedures.
• Load melt and chocolate into melt machines safely and accurately.
• Load dough and other materials into wrapper machines to keep production moving smoothly.
• Load sprinkles and other toppings as required by product specifications.
• Assist with packing finished products, including boxing, labeling, and preparing items for shipment.
• Wash and clean trays and other production-related equipment to maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Work on both processing and packing sides of operations as needed.
• Follow all food production and cleaning procedures to support quality and safety standards.
• Remain on your feet throughout the shift and perform general labor tasks such as loading, packing, and cleaning.
• Adapt to new processes and procedures as the plant and equipment are brought fully online.
• Participate in on-the-job training to learn equipment support tasks and production workflows.
• Communicate clearly with team members and leadership to help get the plant up and running and keep production moving out the door.

Essential Skills

• Experience in food production, food processing, or other production environments is desired.
• Experience in general labor or general production work on a production line.
• Ability to perform loading, packing, and packaging tasks safely and efficiently.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with machine operators and team members.
• Ability to remain on your feet for the entire shift and perform physically active tasks.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a startup environment with evolving processes.
• Willingness and availability to move from a day shift to a second shift as operations expand.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in food manufacturing or similar industrial production environments.
• Experience with cleaning and sanitation tasks in a production setting.
• Comfort working across both processing and packing functions.
• Ability to learn quickly through on-the-job training and apply new procedures.
• Reliability and consistency in attendance to support plant startup and ongoing production.
• Openness to optional overtime opportunities on weekends when needed.

Work Environment

The role is based in a new food manufacturing plant producing protein bars, featuring brand-new, highly automated equipment and a climate-controlled environment with air conditioning and heat to protect food and ingredients. Employees work on-site in a production setting and spend most of the day on their feet performing loading, packing, and cleaning tasks. The facility is in startup mode, so processes may change as the plant becomes fully operational, and team members help support both processing and packing operations. Training is provided on the job. Current restroom facilities consist of portable bathrooms outside the plant while permanent bathrooms and plumbing are being completed. The work schedule initially runs Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, and will transition to day shifts such as 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A second shift is planned to launch around July–August, with hours approximately 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and optional overtime may be available Friday through Sunday.

This is a Permanent position based out of Nashville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $43680.00/yr.

DP Benes: - $75 Steel Toe/Composite Stipend - Medical, Dental, Vision – 3 Medical plans no high deductible. Anthem BlueCross. - Benes start 1st of month. - 10 PTO days accrued. - 6 Sick days accrued. - 401K after 90 days. 100% match up to 4%.

This is a fully onsite position in Nashville,TN.
