Dental hygienist(Part-time)

We are a single doctor private practice seeking a part-time Hygenist! Pay $50 - $55 per hour Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour Shift & Schedule Monday to Friday Monday to Friday Requirements License & Certification: Licensed dental hygienist Valid state dental hygiene license Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program Excellent knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and practices Preferences Must Have: Proficiency in medical coding for dental procedures Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate treatment recommendations Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for dental diagnosis Strong understanding of medical records management and documentation requirements Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft for scheduling and recordkeeping purposes Solid understanding of human anatomy related to oral health Job Description Job Duties: Perform dental hygiene procedures, including dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing Take and develop dental x-rays Conduct oral cancer screenings Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide oral health instructions Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile and organized work environment Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft Follow all infection control protocols and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
