Job Title: RN - OR

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures in the Operating Room. Supports safe and effective surgical care by preparing patients, assisting the surgical team, monitoring patient status, and maintaining appropriate safety and infection control practices.

Education & Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.

• 1–2 years of Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience preferred.

• Experience with surgical procedures and perioperative patient care is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

• BLS certification required.

• ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.

• CNOR certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and prepare patients for surgical procedures and complete required pre-operative safety checks.

• Provide nursing support during surgical procedures and assist the surgical team as needed.

• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and response to medications and procedures.

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments safely.

• Maintain aseptic technique and follow infection prevention and patient safety standards.

• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Complete accurate documentation and ensure appropriate post-operative handoff and patient care.
