Machine Operating Technician

This role involves custom manufacturing stainless steel attachments and adapters tailored to each customer's specific requirements. You will rotate through and learn several workstations across the shop floor, taking ownership of projects from start to finish and ensuring each product meets precise quality and measurement standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of production and machine tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned projects.
• Measure materials and finished parts using tools such as tape measures and calipers to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop policies.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues, defects, or equipment concerns promptly.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform quality inspection tasks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete projects independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with stainless steel or metal fabrication environments is beneficial.
• Comfort working in an open-concept shop floor environment, moving between different stations.
• Willingness to learn new processes and machinery as needed.
• Ability to manage time effectively and take ownership of projects from start to finish.

Work Environment

The facility features an open-concept layout where you will move across the shop floor to complete different stages of your assigned jobs. You will work with production and machine tools, measurement instruments such as tape measures and calipers, and inspection equipment as part of the manufacturing process. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes or boots to ensure comfort and safety while working on the shop floor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Crosse, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
