Job Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients employing standardized assessments and thoughtful observation techniques.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that meet both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver focused, individualized speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing enhancements.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise well-rounded care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and families to facilitate progress beyond the clinic.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
• Document accurately and promptly in compliance with state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Stay abreast of advancements in the field through continued education and collaborative peer interactions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certification Requirements

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within the first month of employment.
