Automation Technician

Automation Technician (Open) Location: Tulsa, OK - Peoria - Cust. installations; Little Rock, AR - Retail shop; Oklahoma City, OK (AMG) - ASU Responsibilities System Integration: Install, configure, and program Controlled Automation CNC plasma cutting equipment and arc welding robotic systems (OTC and Yaskawa). Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform expert-level preventative maintenance and diagnostic repairs on electrical/electronic (sensors, motors, high-performance drives), mechanical (precision gears, bearings, linkages), fluid power (pneumatic and hydraulic systems), and cutting tech (Hypertherm cutting systems). Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve software and hardware malfunctions related to robotic controllers and plasma power sources. Travel & Logistics: Up to 75% travel required, including overnight stays. Company will provide vehicle, laptop, smartphone, and per diem for meals and travel expenses. Training & Documentation: Provide comprehensive on-site operator training and generate detailed service reports. Business Development: Collaborate with Account Managers to identify and sell preventive maintenance contracts; develop accurate estimates, quotes, and formal proposals; partner with sales to expand gas and welding supply footprints. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Experience in any type of electro-mechanical technology. Ability to explain complex technical issues to customers and work effectively with internal sales force. Absolute commitment to adhering to all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Controlled Automation CNC systems and robotic platforms (Yaskawa/OTC). Strong proficiency in troubleshooting electromechanical systems and deep understanding of Hypertherm plasma technology. Solid grasp of various welding processes. Physical & Professional Demands Ability to work in industrial environments (heat, noise, dust). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must fulfill travel requirements stated above.
